Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) applies to the use of or access to the website www.taxontip.com  and on its mobile/web applications (hereinafter, collectively referred to as the “Platform”), by the User (hereinafter “you” or “your”).

The Platform is provided by Tax On Tip (hereinafter “Company” or “Tax On Tip” or “our” or “we” or “us”).

This Policy is published following the provisions of Rule 3(1)(a) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and Rule 4 of the (Indian) Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal data or Information) Rules, 2011 framed under the (Indian) Information Technology Act, 2000 (as amended from time to time) and that requires publishing the privacy policy for usage of Platform and Services. This Policy (read with the Terms of Use (hereinafter the “Terms”)) constitutes a binding and legally enforceable contract between the Company and User.

By using the Platform or availing the Services, you agree to this Policy. Subject to applicable laws, the terms of this Policy (and any changes thereto) will become applicable to you retrospectively on and from the date of your first use of the Platform. If you do not agree to the terms of this Policy, please do not use our Platform and Services. Further, by using this Platform, you also confirm that you are either the owner of or are duly authorized to use and share the information that the Platform may require and that you using the Platform does not violate any applicable law or contract by which you may be bound or is otherwise prejudicial to any person. You agree to indemnify the Company, its employees, directors, officers, agents, business associates, affiliates, and agents from any loss, damage, expenses, or other adverse consequence they suffer as a result of your usage of the Platform unless such loss, damage, expenses or other adverse consequence can be attributed to our act or omission.

The Policy extends to the following information: (a) information you provide us, or the information otherwise collected by us through your usage of our Platform and Services; (b) information collected while you use the Platform and Services; (c) information collected from any other source; or (d) information generated while availing the Services including but not limited to any transactional information. We aim for full transparency on how we gather, use, and share your information.

Tax On Tip respects and protects the privacy of the individuals who access the information and use the services provided through them. Individually identifiable information about the User is not willfully disclosed to any third party without first receiving the User’s permission, as covered in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy describes the Company’s treatment of personally identifiable information that it collects when the User is on the Company’s website. Tax On Tip does not collect any unique information about the User (such as the User’s name, email address, age, gender, etc.) except when you specifically and knowingly provide such information on the Website. Like any business interested in offering the highest quality of service to clients, Tax On Tip may, from time to time, send emails to the User and other communication to tell the User about the various services, features, functionality, and content offered by Tax On Tip’s website or seek voluntary information from The User. Please be aware, however, that Tax On Tip will release specific personal information about the User if required to do so in the following circumstances:

a) to comply with any valid legal process such as a search warrant, statute, or court order
b) if any of the User’s actions on our website violate the Terms of Service or any of our guidelines for specific services, or
c) To protect or defend the Company’s legal rights or property, the Company’s site, or the Users of the site or;
d) To investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, and situations involving potential threats to the security, and integrity of the Company’s website/offerings.


Type of Information

“Personal information” is any information that could be used to identify an individual. It does not include personal information encoded, anonymized, or publicly available information that has not been combined with non-public information.

“Sensitive personal information” meets the “personal information”.

We are ISO 27001 certified and also have a SOC2 Type 2 audit report concerning our information security practices and infrastructure. Furthermore, our system is configured with data encryption, scrambling technologies, and firewalls constructed to the highest industry standards. We also use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology that protects the data you send over the internet.

We recommend that you use the latest available versions of browsers to take advantage of updates in security technology. Although we strive to protect your information, no data transmission over the Internet is completely secure. There is some risk associated with any data transmission, including the risk that personal data may be intercepted in transit. Therefore, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. However, we have put in place the necessary procedures to deal with any suspected or possible breaches of personal data.
